IH 3088 high crop info NEEDED

I have a friend in need of info on a 3088 high crop that he has. Serial number 2480004U001409. He is looking to find out if its rare (how many have been made), what year it is, and a possible value. It runs great, has 3 point, no glass, but a cab structure, fair tires, and not restored. He is not sure if it's factory high crop or if they ever made them and has all aftermarket parts. one of the last few built cat 3 lift with sway block style drawbar support 38 inch rubber anyone know much about these? ive seen three of them but haven't found much info on the 88 series

Run Forest Run!!.. just kidding. This may be one of the few legitimately rare IH items posted here. Runner up would be that 2 bbl Heisler intake and carb for a Farmall M posted a week or so back. Only on guy seemed to throw out the gauntlet on it and I really didn’t think he is in a financial position to buy an oddball collectors part.

Got a chance to do a little digging in my literature. They did offer a high crop option for that series of models from the factory. Don't have any clue as to how many were actually produced though.
