IH 3444 carb ??

My machine has a SOLEX carb on it. Could that be correct for an IH backhoe ? I know they are stock on old air cooled VW's , Porsche's, Mercedes, etc.
It needs a tear down and cleaning. When I look for a gasket kit, the pic's of the main gasket are no-way going to fit/replace my unit. If I tear it down without a standby kit, I will run every gasket seal, etc in the unit. That;s how that works. Fleabay has a carb that they claim fits....my experience with chinese carbs is that they mostly don't really work like expected.
Anyone know the displacement on that engine off hand? In cc's ?
I would appreciate any advise on this. Will post pics when I figure that out.

ps - the back story -I bought this machine at a yard/estate sale. The guy built from scratch a couple airplanes and flew them a lot. The backhoe and other stuff was old worn out scrape he cobbled together to maintain his private airstrip. No telling what he may have done.

I didn't see your post until now. The engine as I recall was a BC144. British, carburetor, 144 cubic inches.
I believe the OEM carb was a Zenith. It was definitely British. Unlike anything I ever saw. The float was round. It was an automotive type, downdraft carb with an accelerator pump.
The 3444 is a later, industrial version of the B414 farm tractor. Then there were newer models of that, like maybe the 354? I don't know if they used the same carb, but I think so. So possibly you could find something off of one of these other engines in a salvage yard?
