IH 350 wiring

My grandson is working on his 350 for his FFA project. Previous owner installed a GM alternator but left the original voltage regulator with wiring in place. It will drain his battery dead. I suggested he check the diodes in the alt for being bad. Does anyone have a picture of a wiring harness for the GM alt. Thanks.

Which GM alternator? 10DN uses an external regulator. 10SI type has an internal alternator, original Delco will be three wire, one wire is a modification to the original.

Are you looking for the actual alternator schematic or a schematic using that alternator on the tractor? There are schematics of the different Delco alternators online and someone likely can find one for the tractor, but in either case the specific alternator must be known.

This past YT thread has a diagram for a 450 with a Delco 10si 3 wire, should be the same. Thread with a F450 wiring diagram

It's a 10SI GM Alternator.
