IH 364 update

Been having problems with the tractor lacking power and smoking...pump and injectors rebuilt etc. Well. Had a friend over today to check compression.. cylinders 1&4 475 psi. Cylinders 2&3 150 psi. Does it sound like a blown head gasket.....

Sounds like a possibility. I would pull the head off, you are most likely going to have to anyway.

Not a problem...was just waiting to make sure. Its a $60.00 head gasket..ouch. looks like the problem...I feel puffs of air out the intake manifold too.

Hi John,
Just a thought but I am sure you have checked the "tappet" adjustment to 0.022" hot.
