IH 460 LPG utility

Ran across an IH 460 LPG utility for sale. Runs drives, fair tires, emblems are there, sheet metal is in good shape but the paint is rough. Needs a few minor fix ups. What are these worth as is?

What are your intentions use , show ? LP is a great fuel but it isn't for all people , other than being LP I think it would be about the same as a regular gasser , probably not very common but I have seen a few.

IHOutlaw: I think these are pretty rare. I looked at www.tractorhouse.com and did not see a single 460 utility for sale, let alone a 460 lpg utility. New price in 1963 lists at $4100. Average price of Farmall 460 (row crop version) now is about $2200. A utility should be worth as much or more. I think it could be a very handy tractor. I have a Farmall 460 lpg. I like it. I find the lpg cheaper than gasoline (usually) and the engine wear is so minimal on an lpg. It can be easier to fill the fuel tank with lpg than gasoline (no lifting heavy five-gallon cans, spilling fuel, worrying about funnels, worrying about getting dirt into the fuel, etc.). On the other hand, it may take a tiny bit longer to fill with lpg. LPG tractors seem to be a love/hate relationship. People who hate them would pay very little for a lpg tractor. Those who love them would pay more than for a gasser. Good luck with whatever you decide. kelly

I have a 460 gas with Wagner loader purchased 10yrs ago for $1,500.00 It had a hard life, probably started life mowing roadsides as as it was originally yellow. When I bought it, it was being used to clean a hog barn. After cleaning, lube, change all fluids and filters it has done alot of work for me, bush hogging, running 489 haybine, baling etc.
If yours has a loader take a close look at the steering gearbox, they can be a weak point and new parts are not available.
There was one on C\L without a loader sold 6 months ago in Indiana for ~$2850.00.
Engine tranny etc are all standard IH so nothing special to worry about.
