IH 464 3 point stuck in top position

Hi All
Been following for a while. purchased my 464 earlier this year after it sat in a field for 7 years. Put a battery on it and new diesel with clean fuel filter and started right up. this is wear it went south. 3 point went all the way up and hydraulics went into dead head. was able to lift loader enough to load and haul home. when loading i noticed a leak on the steering box.
Got it home and drained and replaced hydraulic fluid with new filter. i also replaced a couple of orings on steering box. started it again and 3point went all the way up and hydraulics went into dead head again. Any advise would be helpful i have the manual and it is no help. Such a nice tractor would love to get it operational. thanks KW

Hi the 464 is a good tractor, be sure to add Diesel fuel conditioner or some two cycle engine oil to the Diesel tank everytime you add fuel to lube the injection pump as the old Bosch pumps don't like ULSD fuel.

Does the 3pt go done after the engine is off for a while?

Make sure the draft control lever is fully forward.

yes sir it goes down over night. thanks for the advise on the fuel additive.
