ih 550 plow

what size bottoms was an in 550 semi mount plow available with and how can I tell what I have

I have a 540 with 16 inch Super Chief bottoms. Pretty sure they came with 14 inch as well. Measure the width of cut[ landside to landside] from one bottom to the next, or the frame on the top[1 inch x 3 inch bars] from one to the next. Pulled mine with a '71 4020, nice match. Not much trash clearance but did a decent job....Ron
