I started my 574 today and it has a slight knock in the engine. I pulled the plug wires off one at a time and when I pulled the #1 wire off the knock went away. Could this be a wrist pin, rod bearing or piston knock? Eight years ago it had new rod bearings, new pistons installed along with a valve job. This was done in-frame. I'm just wondering now...

That definitely means it's bottom end, and limited to that cylinder.
A couple things to observe,
A rod bearing will generally be associated with loss of oil pressure. It will rapidly progress. May get louder as the oil warms.
Wrist pin will typically not progress, will reach a noise level and stay there, sometimes indefinitely. Usually not really affected by oil temperature.
A cracked or loose piston skirt will be louder on a cold engine, louder under increased power, may slowly progress, or could level off and run indefinitely. One thing to be concerned about a piston slap, what happened to cause it. Did something get on top of the piston, cock it sideways, crush the skirt?
But, these are just generalizations, anything is possible.
If it's been sitting for a while, the wrist pin may just be dry, especially if the RPM was kept low. Might carefully bring the RPM up unless it gets worse or there is an oil pressure drop.
Drop in oil pressure is definitely time to shut it down and take care of it!
