Looking at a gas 574 with a 1850 loader. Just wondering how hard they are on fuel for loader work, basically piddling around. And any other opinions anybody has that they want to share.

We had a 574 gas burner and was real happy with it. Did a lot of shredding with a 6ft mounted mower and can't say it was too hard on fuel. The thing always ran good too. We didn't have a loader for it but it did handle a 1200lb alfalfa bale well with a 3pt bale mover (with a few suitcase weights!)
