I haven't updated in a while as I have been dealing with health issues. But I finally got all the parts ordered installed. I did a complete ignition system. Points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil. Upon inspection, I noticed a hot wire from the positive side of the coil to the battery. I also noticed the on off switch was new as well as the the starter button. But they are non operational.
While messing with the carberator I noticed a crack in the exhaust manifold, and the entire manifold heater was broken. So I ordered an entire new manifold system and installed that. Very happy with it. Tonight, I decided to tackle the hot wire on the coil. I took the dash apart to find my issue and everywhere I look, the wiring is disgusting. Cracked, melted, farmer rigged together. It's been patched and cobbled for far to long. So tomorrow and as I can, I am going to rewire it. I haven't been so good about taking pics as I go, however in the morning I will take some to show all that are interested.
