IH 656 pipe between filters weeping

We have a new tractor here. We will be repairing or replacing this leak on pipe between primary and secondary filters, but I am curious if this drip would make starting harder than a 656 would normally be?

If its in a place where it can suck air, yes.

Most of those formed tubes have been replaced with a hose. Also make sure the glow plugs are working properly for starting. Glow plugs usually have to be held on for at least 30 seconds or more.

The leak is on top of the pipe if that's what you mean?

Thinking we will be able to cut fittings off and clamp hose in place.
Need to take time to take hood off and test individual glow plugs with test light and/or multi meter.
The glow plug meter is stuck, not sure if it can be fixed, will replace if not. We have had so much rain here in Rhode Island it's been tough to put any time into tractor.
Been doing a lot of reading on 656 and glow plugs. This tractor will only start after glowing for more than a minute,and even using glow plugs while starting or after start if she seems like she will stall. We are looking forward to sorting this out. Wondering if the wiring is "split" correctly at the plugs like we have read about here.
She does run nicely once it clears up. A stronger battery and new cables are a priority as well.
