IH 806 engine water pump

Sounding like the water pump on my 806 engine is going out. Never had to change it on one of these so anyone know of a "preferred" pump or supplier. Also anyone have thoughts on new vs. reman?? Thanks,

Well yea we have changed out some over the years of working on them . Just did a 1206 two years ago . Now since i have given up the shop and somewhat semi retired i no longer am a Hy Cap dealer so i got one off my old buddy's son as he is a Hy Cap and A I dealer now and with out digging thru invoices from two years ago i believe it COST ME like 165 bucks I know Case I H wanted like 460 some bucks . Now to change out the water pump on a 806 ya got to pull the radiator . First remove the hoses , next the fan shroud then the fan . Four bolts on the side of the rad that run thru the shock mounts then straight up once the shroud is removed then the shroud can come out then the fan blade then four bolts hold the pump in . No gskt just a O/RING on the pump . clean up where the O/Ring sets with emery cloth and set the new pump in and reverse the posses . can be done in around a hour .
