Bought this today at an estate sale.
After getting it home I looked it over and
I can't find a model # anywhere on it.
The seed chart says international
harvester, canada. I'd like to get a
manual for it when I find out what model
it is. I've never used a drill before so
any technical / operational advice is
appreciated! Previous owner chopped the
wall out of the fertilizer hopper in order
to make the large grain hopper larger. It
does have the grass seed attachment on
front. Thanks for any help!

That drill looks like my IH 8 ft. Model M. I believe the ones with the fertilizer attachment were called a Model MF. I still have the manual for my Model M and I believe it covers both the M and MF drills. I think my dad bought the one I have new in 1948. Attached is a picture when it was last used about 20 years ago. I now have an IH 5100 drill but still have the Model M in the shed. Mine is a mechanical lift and your looks like it has the optional hydraulic lift. Al

It's an MF. Rather was an MF. Never seen one with the divider between the fertilizer & seed hoppers cut out before. Wonder if you could call it an M+? Lol! Manuals should be abundant on, say, eBay. If you really need a manual in a hurry, you can search the CaseIH Technical Publications Store page, find, purchase & download the manual in pdf format right to your computer, transfer it to your smartyphone, print it out, whatever works for ya. Just that easy.

Good luck!

Mike

Hey thanks guys for the info! I did some "googling" and was wondering if it was a "MF". I have a question, what exactly do these levers do?
