IH 986 dual remote trouble

I have a IH 986 and one side of the dual remotes seems to work fine, however the other side does not. Any ideas?
Also, it has been smoking(light steaming maybe) from the breather since I purchased it. is this normal for the IH?

Sounds like you might have a valve sticking. When you say its steaming / smoking from the breather, are you referring to the blow by that runs down to the ground? If so it is normal in the IH's to have some blow by.
