Ih MCV valve

Besides lubcating the gears what does the MCV valve have to do with the movement of the tractor?

MCV provides fluid control for steering, brakes, and Hydraulic TA(when machine has one).

If the tractor is a big frame, 706 or higher number IIRC, the TA is hydraulic and uses MCV pressure to go into direct drive, and when in TA it provides overrunning (freewheel) lockup. Jim
