I recently purchased a 3 bottom plow that I belive is an IH plow. It is a trailer type with hydraulic lift. The only #s that I can find on this is on the back of the moldboards. The # is SCIH462314R1 or I the last digit is either a #1 or the letter I, I cannot tell. I am looking for any info on this plow and would love to get my hands on the owners manual for it. I have no real idea how to adjust or use this plow and I would appreciate any help that anyone can give.
Thanks, TerryC

I don't know about the numbers, but if you post a pic, me or someone else will likely know which plow you have. There was several different model of trailing plows. The moldboard number only means it is a Super Plow Chief bottoms on the plow. They were used on most plows and could have even been added.

Here are Terry's pictures, I hope. He needs help identifying the plow. Hal

Hi Terry, If you haven't received any responses on your plow I would put another request on today's forum. If you can't get your pictures to post I will post them again. Hal

This plow is identical to my plow, which I recently got. All I know about it is that the long bar at the angle ontop of this unit should have a metal rope attached to it so you can pull on it to adjust the height of the blades. This adjustment lets you set the lowest the plow can go. Setting 3 or 4 from bottom is about 8 inches I think. The unit is lifted and lowered to your setting by hydraulics obviously.

I would love to get a copy of the manual or service manual to this unit as well.

I have an Operator's Manual for setting up a #60 plow and there is a picture in it that is at the same angle as the second picture and it is identical to your plow. I have a #60 plow in the 2 bottom and all the parts look the same....James
