What model is this rear blade and what color should it be?

Then I would say red.Take it 'apart' and see if you can find any 'hidden' remains ofpaint. But for a blade, either red or yellow would be acceptable.

its an international model #1 back fill blade. have the same one on my 240 utility. you can look it up on the case i-h website.

Number 1 backfill blade, painted mine red, think they came out with the 300 tractors. I use mine on a Super C with spacers under the points.
The only other ones I've ever seen were pictures on this site.

Should have added in the original post, this blade has the small forks, not the big ones. From what little paint there was, one part, the pivot was red but the blade (moldboard) and 2 point almost appear to have been blue.

Would you happen to have a link to the book/page on the Case site? I can't find a number 1 blade. I get 50-54, 10 & 11 but no number 1.

I have the exact same rear blade on my 300 Utility that my father bought used in 1966. I think the blade was painted IH red, but after almost 50 years of being outside, it looks like yours. It too has the small points as I have to use the inserts so it don't pull out of the fast-hitch. Al

I have that blade here and I use it on my 300U. Hands down my favorite blade as I can put it on and take it off REALLY quickly...but I digress.

Mine was, always has been, and still is red. Really faded with the years but red be the color.

I too have the same blade on a 300U.
The previous Owner bought it new with the tractor. I have found signs of faded red, but have yet to restore due to using it when it snows heavy.

Type in "backfill blade" in "search for model" on the Case site. If I am not mistaken, the blade was made by Heath for IH. Google "heath ditch blade" and follow the first link. --Lee
