Well there is an IH subforum, along with a crawler subforum. Or tell us your problem. You may find more specific solutions or better help on the redpowermagazine forum.

it is a dozer or loader from the 1970's, virtually no parts available from anyone, Case or Aftermarket. There have been some guys here in the past with them also some guys on RedPower Magazine forum with them.

Case isn't likely to have parts for an IHC crawler, if that is where someone is looking for parts.

YT doesn't charge by the word some detail of the need(s) is required to offer any possible help. A web search for 500C parts does turn up some parts.

So, details of what help is needed is required. JMHO

According to the DT155 engine manual (page 35 of the manual, not the PDF page), you only need to loosen the front 2 or 3 oil pan bolts on each side to release tension from oil pan gasket. The PDF of the engine manual can be found here: https://www.tractorparts.com/PDFs/ENGINE_DT155_179_206_239_246_268_310_358_402_SVC.pdf

THANX SCOOT ...Here is a follow up ?...hope we you can advise me ....the mechanic that i hired was incompetent and took the fuel injection pump off without timing the engine at TDC now he is trying to time the gears without taking of the timing gear cover off by rotating the engine manually and trying to align the dots on the gears which is getting tiring and unsuccessful so far ... is this procedure even possible because he is giving me a hard time when i suggest doing it by removing the timing cover and i dont even think you can physically see the dot timing marks this way....please any advice would be greatly appreciated

I don't have one in front of me, but I don't think you would need to remove the timing cover to install and time a pump. I'm sure the procedures are in the link I provided. Take a look at the table of contents....

Parts are available through komatsu dealers. Komatsu bought up international’s dozer line maybe all of their construction equipment not sure as I only have a dozer.

@dairyman it is a 50 year old dozer or crawler, that has no support, this has been an established fact on several boards for 20 years. there are very few parts available for it. Engine is a little different but the OP did not make that clear in the initial post.

Some parts may be available from CAT but I doubt many, if any, I don't think the CAT and Komatsu ties will help much. Dresser bought the IH construction line in the 80, then Komatsu and Dresser had a joint venture (Komatsu Dresser Company). Komatsu phased out the Dresser name along the way. The loader and crawler line was later sold off again and is now sold as Dresstra. Komatsu may still handle some of the parts, if you say so.

Bottom line: Don't expect to find a lot of support or parts for one.

I only brought it up because when I need some parts for the shuttle clutches on my 500c i was successful in getting them through the komatsu dealer. But that was 8 years ago. I never claimed all parts were available anyone that has been experience with old machines would expect a certain amount of difficulty in getting parts.

Hi did you get the German D-155 injection pump timed? It is all in the manual that another poster gave a link to.
Quick for D-155, Timing gear Mark in bottom left of opening in the front timing cover that you remove to access the nut on the injection pump drive gear and 12* BTD on the crankshaft pulley. The keyway in the injection pump drive gear should be at about the 11 O'Clock position.
See photo below, this photo doesn't include the D-155 but in the other manual it shows D-155 as Mark #1 on the pump drive gear and Static timing as 12* BTD.
The second photo is for a D-239 at 14* BTD but D-155 is 12* BTD.
