Dad bought the RED International 203 in 1971,, best little self propelled combine we ever owned, had a powerful 4 cyl. engine that needed fuel every other day .. did a clean job , we sold it for more than what we paid for it .. and the guy that bought it is still using it every year ...

I owned a 203 back in the 1970's and early 80's. Had a two row corn head and when bought it, came with a 13ft grain head. That was a bit much for it in good beans and wheat so traded down to a 10ft. In the late 70's bought a 303 and at times ran both together in the field. The 303 ran a 12ft head and had a 2 row and a 3 row corn head for it but mostly ran the 2 row on it also. I liked using the 203, that was the one that I drove most of the time.

About 25 years ago my dad bought a used 1972 IH 205 combine with a 10 ft header. I still use it for about 30 acres of wheat and oats each year. It is basicly a 203 with a 6 cylinder engine. It does a good job too. Only major problem I had with it was a few years ago the straw rack crankshaft broke. Al
