Hello All,

Posted in another sub but haven’t gotten a reply. We have recently acquired a IMT 577 and have her up and running but running into an issue. We cannot get the 3 point hitch to lower (It’s stuck in the up position). Reading countless forums most say there should be a valve somewhere that may be closed that will not allow it to go down. Anybody have some thoughts on where it’s at or a direction we should try next?

How much force have you put on the arms to try and get them to drop. I bought a JD 6300 several years ago and had the same problem, finally pushed down on the arms with the loader on another tractor, with the lever in the lower position. There was a small bang, the arms went down, and haven't bothered or leaked since. Apparently either the piston seals were stuck to the barrel or the ram seals were stuck to the ram. If you are supposed to have down pressue on the hitch, ignore what I just said.
