Indentifying an old AC

My friend has an old AC sitting in the weeds and we do not know what model it is. I am guessing a WD or WD45? Please help. I have attached a couple photos. Thanks!

Can not see it well enough to be 100% sure. From what I think I see is the engine has the bolt on plate behind the distributor that covers pretty much that whole side and that says WD. Can not see the shifter to see if it is straight or curved but the late WD had the curved one so not a sure way to tell. Best way to have a clue and even then it could be a mutt is get the serial numbers off the left hand side of the rear end they are just below the brake cover on a flat spot there. If I had to take a guess I would say WD not a WD45

I'm going with WD45. 4 bolt front, that style dist was a 45 thing, and under the plug wire for #3 it looks like a bolt boss cast that can't be there if the WD engine plate is there. Add all that with the curved shifter in the second pic. Find the serial number on the lack left brake housing and post it. Then we can say for sure.

Shifter says late WD or WD45 does the engine havea bolt on side plate on the right hand side?? If it does then probably a Wd or a WD45 with a WD engine in it

Curved shifter. Usually WD-45
No plate on right side of engine. WD-45
Key switch under panel. WD-45
It is either a WD-45 or had an awful lot of parts changed.

All the photos point to a WD45- 4 bolt wide front, curved shifter, distributor, no right side engine plate, high head (4 inch). Bottom line is always serial number, on left rear vertical face of differential. If 146607 or above- it"s a WD45.

I did take a photo of the rear plate while I was there but it is not real clear. Looks like 219673. See photo. Looking like a WD45.

219673 is a 1956 model. Last year built was 1957.
