info on '38 101

Hi, first off, I am new to this site. Seems to be a lot of knowledge and experience here so I hope to draw on some of that to answer some questions.
Now my questions:
1 I have a '38 101 bought new by my great grandfather. In some of the old pictures we have there is a cast emblem on the front of the hood above the center of the grill. Any info on this would be great.
2. Also in the old pics of this tractor the front tires are a multi-rib instead of the typical 3 rib design most commonly seen on tractors today. Were these original equipment? I assume they would be. I have a few pics I could post as soon as I figure out how. Thanks in advance for your replies.

The 1938 model did come with the emblem on the front
of the hood.My 1938 has the holes in the hood for it
but it is missing.There was a fellow had a posting
on this site awhile back selling reproduced badges.I
was going to mark down the info but forgot to.As for
the type of tire they did use the type you
mentioned.

My emblem is missing also. I would be interested in possibly getting a reproduction for it. So far we use the tractor regularly but eventually she will be mostly retired. She'll still make it to shows and the occasional trip around the field though. I would.like to get her back to the original look. I'll also be looking for the side panels. Those are gone also. Thanks for your quick reply, if you happen across the info on either the emblem or sides please post. Thanks.

I've used the search feature. I can't seem to find any threads with mention of reproduction emblems.

If you go into the tractor photo ad section and type
in massey harris.There is a ad for side panels at a
100.00 per set.The ones pictured are for a 101.They
will need to be repaired but they do not look to
bad.

I have also heard of a guy in PA. that makes them. I have his number somewhere. I believe a complete set of all 4 panels was around $375. Not sure if that would include shipping.

PA...I believe they were $345 plus shipping..

I"m looking for a set of 36 inch rims for my 38 101. Mine is also missing the hood emblem. Anyone know where to get a reproduction? Thanks

I'd like to find one also. I have a couple of pics of it that I blew up to show more detail. I have yet to see one in person though.
