Information 4320

I would like any information on a john deere 4230. I am would like to eventually buy a john deere 4320 but would like to know what I should be on the lookout for. Are there common problems that plague this tractor?

It would help if we knew what tractor your talking about. JD made a 4230 and a 4320.

If a JD 4320 those were a 4020 factory made with a turbo ! That's the way to go if you want a supped up 4020. It wasn't just an add on it was factory made beefier in the engine to handle it.

I will go with 4320.They were made in 1971/72. There were 21,485 made all syngro transmission, they were 6in longer,404 turbo charged,rated at 115.H.P..They and were designed for extra power with a heavier clutch.They came with the Hinsen cab which was outdated quickly by the 4430 with SoundGard body.They were a bit cold blooded.Nice low houred ones sell well.We had one along with a new 4520 and the 4320 made the 4520 look sick until we got a better pump on the 4520.Some called them super 4020s on steroids.

The 1971-72 4320 was replaced by the 4430 from 1973 thru 1977 with more power, more features and a much better cab. There were not a huge number of 4320's made, so they are currently one of the hot muscle tractors currently being sought after by collectors. You can probably find a decent 4430 for the same money as a 4320 in similar condition, or find a 4630 for much less money.
