Ingersol Rand backhoe

I was looking at an Ingersol rand backhoe for a friend.
It's 4x4 and has the logo "Earth Force" on it.
Estimated age is 2001 with 2466 hours on the meter.
They claim it had a new engine 500 hr.s ago.
Anyone know anything about these machines?

The utility companies around here liked them for a few years. Kind of an in between machine. Bigger and more power than a deere 110. Not as big as a deere 310, but not as much power. Agility somewhere in between the two. Looked expensive, and the utilities seem to use a deere 110 or a mini ex more than anything else now.

They"re asking $13,500. but I thought if it was sound all around to offer $10,000 as a starting point.
Is that too high?

You might want to think about it. That thing is sort of what we call an orphant. Earth force was improted from overseas buy some guy in late 80s then Trex took to them and imported the units and sold them as terex then they sold or gave the import rights to IR. I am pretty sure when IR sold their construction to Dosan last year the backhoe kinda got droped. I guess my concern is who is going to have parts for the thing. Might not be a big concerne but soner or latter something breaks. Kubota makes a unit that size l35 Might find a 10 /12 year old one or a Older john deer and have a better investment.
