injection pump problems.

It's been quit some time since I've been on here.

I have a '63 4000, Diesel, SOS

I have totally torn down my injector pump, and rebuilt it. Then it sat for a couple years on the tractor. I went to bleed the air out of the system. I would get a real hard spry out of #4 (back) cylinder, and only bubbles out of the others, and a clicking noise. I pulled the pump back of, went though it re-cleaning it. I found nothing that would cause it to click or stop the flow to the others. I reassembled it, and put it back on, and now I get no pressure.

Any Ideas as to what could be causing tis not to build (?) pressure now.

I really need to get this tractor running, it's been sitting for to long since I rebuilt the tractor.

I'm going out to pull it again.

Thanks, Pat

Send or take it to someone who has a test stand. Then
when you put it back on you are not just shooting dull
arrows and you know it will run. Not sure if you know of
the pump rebuilder on here that post as Dieseltech but
in the linked post he has a reply. His email is open so
you can contact him. I hear he charges very
reasonable fees, guys on here often ship there pump
to him in Indiana. Often if you want to play, you have to
pay.

I was hopping that someone that works on then would have given me a clue as to what to look for.

I have been through this pump some 6-? times, trying things people have told me it was, that's why I'm been in it first place, which proved to totally wrong. It was a motor problem. Which is a long story in it's self. I have never touch the flow control. I Know nothing about the insides of it, as to why putting out now, but was with a click, which I couldn't find any that clicked together.

That's the part I need help with. I can do everything else to it, but work with the flowing. I know the principle of it.

I had sent the advance plate & driveshaft sent to him a few years back, and he checked them. He said it was not a problem but he swapped it for another, and sent a different driveshaft back. Witch I have to put in 180% off to fit it in now, and to work right.
I have not touched it since then (2-3 yrs) other to install it. I have been taking care of my wife 24-7, I almost lost her twice since last being on here. so I haven't had much time, for outside working But things are getting some what better for her, so I can work outside again.

I guess I'm going to have to search for where, the guy, that here local, that told me it was Not a pump problem, but a motor problem, which proved to be right. I could not time the pump. There was No need to pull the pump apart other then to put new shaft seals in. He has moved from his house , and I have no idea where to.
