Hello, the input shaft and coupler need replaced on my Oliver 77. It has hydraulics, live PTO and belt pulley. I have no experience with this. can someone help me find a written procedure for this or a YouTube? TIA

I would get a service manual from the Floyd County Museum, (641) 2 two 8 -109 nine They have a website too.

These videos are for a different model but the process is the same. They will help with removing the hydraulic unit and PTO. The service manual will help with the rest of the job. Splitting the tractor or removing the engine is not necessary. You also don't need to disassemble the transmission or final drive. The input shaft is right on top and easy to get to after removing the hydraulic unit. As far as tools, a basic set will do the job. Lock-ring pliers are a must for removing the snap rings on the input shaft.

This is a very basic list and the manual will say how to remove these items. I also probably missed something. I would also replace the engine rear main seal with the updated lip seal assembly from Korves while you have it apart.

remove sheet metal
remove fuel tank for accessibility
remove steering shaft for accessibility
remove PTO shaft
remove hydraulic unit
remove belt pulley drive
remove bell housing
remove input shaft
