Installing oil pump on JD model A

Any of you out there have instructions or tips on installing an oil pump on a JD model A, age is app 1950.

Any tricks I need to know?? Such as have 3 hands or more and X-ray vision!!!

The biggest no-no thing of all is to be sure you do not bend any of the lines taking them loose and also be sure you
can feel the nuts screw on the fittings good by hand and don't use a wrench to start them for the first few threads. Oh yeah, one more thing is to keep an eye on that little square drive coupling so it doesn't get lost or forgotten.

Right now Im stuck on trying to get the oil pump drive installed properly. Holdong the pump and installing the bolts to connect it to the cast bottom of the engine are a pain. I am really needing advice on how to align and push up the square tubing to drive the pump, from the cam shaft. Any suggestions?? Right now Im working alone on this project! Im sure a second pair of hands would be really nice to have!

You can use longer bolts to help you get the bottom plate and gears in place, then remove one at a time and put in the proper bolts.
