Installing powr trol on 1945 model A

I am about ready to remove the power lift on my tractor and replace it with a powr trol unit. I don't want to get oil everywhere and need to know where/how to drain the oil before I remove the power lift unit. Also, once I have the powr trol installed what type oil should I put back in? Thanks.

Remove the pipe plug on the bottom of the rockshaft housing to drain oil. Fill Powr-Trol with the same oil you use in the engine.

fill it with 10w engine oil.

Both the operator and shop manuals call for 30 weight.
10 weight or 10W-30 would be good for winter use.
