intake manifold leak

I need to tighten hex nuts on intake, but cannot get a socket on them, as the casting interferes.
Anyone encountered/solved this problem?

Check with your auto parts store for a thin wall socket to fit into tight places.

I had to use an open end wrench.

4 of the 8 nuts are very difficult but using various open and boxed end wrenches was able to get them off. When I put it back together I found 4 nuts that had the same thread but the nuts were smaller on the outside than the origionals and went back together much easier

Thanks to all who took the time to answer. I will investigate further as to smaller sized hex nuts and/or thin wall sockets.

After I fimally got the old ones off, I replaced them with the same size bolts with an Allen head. These are available at most auto parts houses. These are much easier to install and take out.
