Internation 4500A Fork Lift - Brake Cable Needed

Does anyone have any leads on the parking brake cable for a 4500 Series A Fork Lift? I have a friend who asked me to help him find one, said the dealer said they aren't available. He didn't have a part # so I ordered a parts manual, which I will attach the page showing the diagram.

I thought I found a place that had it but after emailing them they said it's a spring, not the cable.

Maybe one could be made, the guy is very handy, and I haven't seen it to know. I was hoping it would maybe cross over to some other models, or be the same as what was used in IH trucks and be available that way.

If anyone knows of a source or a place that might have parts I'd be open to suggests for him. Thanks

There are numerous places that can "build" a brake cable from scratch based on a drawing and measurements.

Several years ago I had non-obtainium brake cables made up for a Jacobson turf truck, and the company did a great job, they fit perfectly.

I don't have the name of the Co. at hand, and it seems it was long enough ago that my email provider has deleted the old texts pertaining to ordering them.

I will see if I can dig up that info, in the meantime you should be able to find outfits that can make them up with a GOOGLE search.
