International 274

Hi folks, I picked up this high crop 274. I’m just trying to get an opinion of what it might be worth.
Condition is very good, not excellent. Runs perfect. Everything works even the lights. 2xxx hours. There are small localized bad rust spots but it is very straight. I would like to se this go to a collector rather than back to work.
Appreciate any help.
Thank you

I have had this one since the late 1980s. It appears to be like yours, and the same configuration as a standard 140. I can only say it is worth what a willing buyer will pay for it. I used mine to work tobacco and now vegetables. It is very good on fuel and has been dependable. I have read that parts may be hard to find. I have not needed many parts thankfully.

I'd find an auction company with a good profile. People are looking for those cultivator tractors & you'd be surprised what it might bring. Might bring a few extra pennies if you still have the shanks & ground working tools for the cultivator.

It's interesting to see the 274 & 140 next to each other to compare. I also remember those 274's all shiny & new, too.

Thanks for the pic!

Thank you for the reply. Nice to see that you are still using yours. I’ve had 100’s and 140’s used for vegetable cultivation. Very dependable. Always liked the 274 but never owned one. It is a lot more tractor. Yes parts are very limited. I can’t even find the ignition key. It is an odd key. I believe these 274’s were made by Komatsu.

Absolutely on Komatsu. Mine has a Nissan engine.

Yes I looked at the tag this morning. This particular 274 was used in strawberries. Has the diamond/square tube used in this area, Top knives side, knives and chisels mainly.
I seen one for 17 grand. I think that’s crazy. Like a say, I would like to see this one go to a collector. Thanks for the info.
