International 700 plow

Hello-

Looking to upgrade my IH McCormick #60 trailer plow, as I have a bigger tractor now. The #60 plow is a 3 bottom toggle trip with the plow chief bottoms, not super chief.

I want to go look at a 4 bottom auto reset International 700 plow with on land gauge wheel.

Also know where there is a international 710 auto reset 4 bottom plow. The 710 has no gauge wheel.

I have plenty of rocks on my property, so auto reset is a must. The toggle trip bottoms on my #60 plow are a pain having to stop and backup to reset them.

If given the opportunity, which plow would you purchase? They look almost identical. The 710 is about $200 more than the 700 plow. Both are in excellent condition. I will be pulling these plows with an International 856 diesel tractor.

Thanks!

720 has better clearance for corn stalks and such.

Some 700/710 had longer shanks to allow more room for stalks to clear.

I tried to stick with the 720 models so I’m not so good with the 700/710 series….

If you aren’t plowing trashy stuff under it probably isn’t a big difference.
