Hi everyone. I have a 1961 B250 that needs a starter. Mine has 11 teeth. Would the newer 10 tooth starters with the solenoid built in work? I would put a push button on it instead of using the linkage rod to engage it. The tractor is getting worn out and I can buy one of these starters for half the price. Thanks

No. The teeth won't mesh properly and will quickly ruin the teeth on the starter, the ring gear, or both.
