So I have been searching for a w450 diesel forever.
Got lucky and got a running one this fall. Now I have been able to buy a w450 gas. Even harder to find than a diesel! In the middle of getting running and restoring it this winter.
Down the road would a collector be more interested in the pair or individually? Again ,with so few produced they are a hard to find tractor.

I have three W450 Gas & one W450 Diesel. One of the gas models is 93 from the end of production. What is are your guy's serial numbers? Would really like to find a W450 Propane! Also have bunch of W400, SW6, etc. Nothing in LPG, that would make my day.

If they were consecutive serial numbers, definitely keep them together.

Otherwise, you'd probably get more selling each one individually regardless. Everyone wants "package discounts."

When you go to sell them offer them together and if someone makes you a good offer on one of them, don't turn down a stack of $100's.

my serial #"s are W450 diesel 1957, W400 gas # 3060 . seams pretty high to me , dont know the last #'s of production. list if you can.
thanks.

I have wondered about his tractors-they were unique, and may have only been of interest to him. But I hope they found good homes, as they were useful ideas put to use. Mark.

Hi, I think 3858 would of been about the last of them in 1956, they like Wheatlands or I models on the east coast, very few had them out there when new!! [For a I Model 400,For a 450 I model 2295.Last one]

Rusted, W400 G was made April of 1956 & the W450D was made March 1958.

J Carter, W450 G was made March of 1958 & the W450 D was made March of 1957.

Last W400 G was made Sept 58 ending @ 3858
Last W400 D was made Sept 58 ending @ 3857

Last W450 G was made Apr 25 1958 ending @ 2295
Last W450 G was made Apr 25 1958 ending @ 2294

thanks, so my w450 diesel is about a month from the end of production.
here is on for you, check my super WDR9 serial #7100 , i know it almost at the end. like to know the last one biult.

Thanks for the information RedTurbo. It appears that they were making 400's and 450's at the same time? Wonder why ,if that were so?
Was given a pristine condition operators manual for a W450, serial number 1818' not sure if it was gas or diesel! Probably diesel as sheet on front page says it replaced a SMD. August of 1958, no prices listed!

the w400 replaced the super w6ta in 1955 and was only made for a short period till 56 when the 450 came out and was replaced by the 560 in
59. in 56 there was both the 400 and 450's. i think they were just trying to fill in the gap till the big 6 cyl. 560 came out. all 4 of
these models are right from the basic w6.

Sorry for bad typing on my part. Both models of the 400 ended in 1956, not 1958. The month & serial numbers are correct. I hit the 8 on the number pad instead of the 6.

Super WDR9 built in 1956 started at 6866 & ended at 7242 or 7249. Have 2 different sources with different end of production number. Cant find what months they were built, as Melrose Park plant info isn't online.

thanks redturbo. i need to recheck my serial # as i think its 7200 not 7100. that puts it right at the end.
