Intro 4994 Phoenix

[Ande]

My thoughts are this was 1991, it was the intro of the "4994". Case had several of their museum tractors there also. I remember it as cold and some guys didn't have a jacket.
Sorry for the quality.

Dan, it had to be before the Case-IH merger of 1984 as they changed the paint scheme at that time.

[Ande]

Your right Tom, actually it was before I was married, so it would be I think 1981?

I believe late Jan. or early Feb. 1984. My son was just 1 year old. I got to go to the intro when I worked at Menomonie. Got to drive a 4994 in the field demo. Bob Hope was the entertainment there one evening.

[Ande]

Yes I do remember Bob Hope was the entertainment. I got married in 1983, so it wasn't after that as my wife would have gone with me.

Great bit of history again Dan, My days with CASE ended in the summer of 84 and the 49 was released shorting after that so could have been that winter. I seen one for the first time that following summer at a fair so I will guess that to have been in 85. Rod.

Rod, I wonder if they intro'd the "4994" in 1983? As I wasn't married when I went out there. I might have another adventure figuring this out! HeHe
