how do you guys clean the magnetic drain plugs from a ferguson tractor?

I run them under hot water and use a eating fork to clean out between the magnets then blow off with air gun.

A rag soaked with heavy oil, then a tooth brush with gas, then air pressure, I guess that why nowdays mechanics at a dollar a minute throw out the old ones and make you think the threads were striped.

Have a blowgun with a 3/16 brake line that does wonders on cleaning the magnets with 150 PSI shop air..
