Is there a trick to putting the wheels on a VC?
I installed one wheel and torqued the 5/8 gr 5, 2&1/2 in long bolts to 110 lbs. The clips slide out as you tighten the bolts. one bolt has about 1/8 inch sticking out of the nut. The rest are all sticking out farther. One about 5/16 inch. This looks like the wheel might not be perfectly centered. Could this be a problem? Or will that be OK?

Jack up the wheel and rotate it. If it goes exactly straight, you are done. If the tire wobbles, you need to slightly loosen the nuts where the tire moves inboard. Then tighten the nuts that occur where the tire is farther away (outboard) from the tractor, (being you loosened nuts on the opposite side, these nuts should be loose now). Then go back and tighten all the nuts. This should reposition the rim on the wheel. This may take a few tries. When you get all the wobble out of the tire and the nuts are all tight, you are done. Set a block of wood or something near the tire as it rotates so you can watch the space between the tire and the block as you rotate it to see how straight the tire is running. Recheck them in a day or two.

Measure the length of the studs with the wheel off then if they are all equal adjust the nuts so they are even then tighten them down the same amount a little at a time.
