is this a good buy?

This is about a newer tractor but the advice here is always dead on. Thanks in advance. looking at a 2002 kubota B21 4x4 with a TL421 loader and a BT751 backhoe.2230 hours from a rental place. $10,000. every thing seems pretty tight but the hours scare me a little. from what i"ve seen, this seems like a pretty good price. what do you think?

Being that its a rental would most of the hours be idling, while the renters that don't know what their doing try to figure the machine out and what exactly what they want to do with it?

My thoughts exactly. Plus it was a rental. I'd walk away from that one.

You can buy a used Case or Deere for half that and be able to get parts for it and thousands around for the parts.

A very wise man once told me "buying used equipment from a rental place is kind of like getting your wife from a whorehouse" those are more than likely some very hard hours.

No, most of the hours would be at full throttle, trying to get the most for their money for the time they have it.
