It's about time I catch a break

My JD 401 b is on my trailer I see something red dripping. All it could be is red died diesel. Last time that happened it was from a split in my fuel tank. I start looking for the leak. It is not from the tank this time. I found the leak: from the rubber hose where it connects to a steel tube at the fuel pump inlet. tighten a hose clamp, no leak. Wish every thing was that simple. Glad you caught a brake i always enjoy reading your adventures.

I happy for you that it wasn’t anything worse. Had the samething happen when we were out in the middle of a lake on the pontoon. Engine was running rough then quit. Pulled the motor cover, found a fuel leak. Then pulled out my trusty combo 12 in one screw driver. And like you, a few quick turns on an hose clamp and I had it fixed it in short time.

Remember; If everything was that simple, the simple stuff would seem hard.
