matte. clutch seems to work fine, did pressure check at regulating valve with clutch in&out hi/lo back&forth pressure jumped between 169 to 174 Psi. the lube pressure I couldn"t get a good reading I think it was around 24 psi.while shifting with clutch in and out. when I engage the clutch and put it in a range gear, then put the p-shift lever in Lo it seems to stay in Hi until I disengage the clutch then it shifts to Lo. with engine rpm"s up to 2000 all works fine.

ok did you check clutch pressure at 2000 rpm or where at. if it had 169-174 at 2000 then i would add at least one but no more than 2 R33521 shims in the pressure regulating valve. acorn nut plug on clutch vavle housing is the one you want to put the shim in. so you had a 5 psi differnence between hi and lo. whatever had the lower pressure might have a leak. could be leaking piston seal or maybe a leaking shift valve. also check hyd oil lever, change filters, and cut the transmission filter and look at the paper. run a magnet over the paper and look for burnt clutch material. another thing to check is the hi/lo shift linkage. make sure when in hi and lo positions the rod is loose in the lever on the transmission. this will make sure the rod isnt partially holding the lever
