Well, I have a couple of questions, I May have the opportunity to buy a 60 or a 620 there is both available maybe. I would need to run it some on the road where does one top end at?, a buddy said his dads 50 would run 15 but he is one of those people that may not know just exactly what he is talking about. The second is hydraulics, On the 60 do you have to shut the remotes off to use the rockshaft (3 point hitch)? And a third. I"ve noticed that the P.T.O. is off center on the ones with live power. Does that have any ill effects on the driveline such as wearing out u-joints faster than normal? Thanks for any help you can provide.

A 50 will do 10 at rated RPM..

The 620 will run about 11 1/2 MPH..
Not sure, but I think the 60 is the same..

The 620 has independent hydrolics..the 60--no.

True 3-Point on the 620..the 60, not really..
Load and Depth control on the 620..no on the 60..

The off-set does not seem to make much difference in wear..if you keep them greased and don't pull it down to where it is Lunging..
The 620 has a lot more brute power than the 60, even tho it has less Cu In..!
The 60 was really an "A" with live PTO..and new sheet metal..

A 60 DOES have live hydraulics.

Not like he asked about..he can only use the rocker-shafts OR the remote on a 60..the 620 can use one or Both anytime..

620 is just a nicer tractor. I got the 800 hitch on the 60 and its miserable to change to the dummy plugs to use the hitch,for some reason I always get oil all over. I think both of them run about the same speed.depending on the tire> I run 15.5 on the 620 so it may go a little faster.

Buy a 620 if you plan to use it !

More power,better 3 pt.,independant functions of the 3pt. and remote outlets. Just like the others said. Now what they didn't mention or don't know about ? is on that offset pto you are to also set your drawbar to a certain length and also move it over to a certain spot off center. There is an SAE PTO standard or something like that which name escapes me at the moment.

So if you have to offset the hitch, How does that affect a 3 point bush hog?

3 point equipment should show little effects from the offset pto.

The problems arrise with pull type equipment and the longer ones with lots of u-joints are really critical to get it set right.

The 620 is a lot more tractor for some reason. My Dad's 60 always seemed kind of "clumsy" as compared to my 620. Can't really explain it..... it was just feel. Those 620's are really nice tractors.
