Just wondering if anyone out there knows if Deere made the 1020 in a narrow front end configuration ? Thanks...

To my knowledge it was never made in a narrow front,I have lots of literature on the 1020 and none of it mentions anything about a narrow front.

There are pictures of an experimental 2020 with a narrow front. None were produced, to my knowledge. Something I have always found interesting is some information I have in some original sales literature for a 237 picker. Among the tractors it lists to be compatible with is the 2020. It must have gotten very close to production. Mike

Wow,,You would be down in the dust on an out-fit like that....I can't imagine how it would work out...and a trycycle front would take on a completely different steering unit....I'd like to see those pic's,,I love proto types...I have seen pics of 3010's with V4's and 4010's with V6's, they claim one of the reasons for not going on with them was the problem with a mounted picker...

Dad had a D15 allis with a NI mounted picker and I don't have to imagine the dirt and dust I KNOW and it makes me cough just remembering.The 3020 and 237 was a big improvement.
