Anyone know about JD105 E Round Back combine, what does the E stand for? thanks John

I could be wrong, but I thought all the 105's were square backs.

There was a 105EB, which stood for Edible Bean

The first two/three years were hilo(61-63).They didnt sell well because they were "too big"."EB" stood for Edible bean. I've seen pics of them in archives somewhere.Steve

I had an EB for 25 years or so but it must have been converted to a regular 105. The only difference between mine and a regular one was the EB decals and the serial number plate. As I understand there were a few 105 roundbacks made. They had a 348 engine that was wrapped up pretty tight in RPM's and used a gear reduction drive. Just went to the shop to glance at the 105 parts book and it shows an engine gear reduction drive for ser numbers below 4500 and a flat belt drive for numbers under 3000. Jim
