I am looking for another JD 16A flail chopper, I bought the one I have in Maryland several years ago, I looked at several dealers in central Kentucky last summer when traveling through and never saw one. I thought maybe they were popular in certain regions. Thanks.

Look in what would have been dairy country but with good tillable crop ground as they were used instead of pasturing so would get more feed dollars per acre with them, Areas with cattle but scrub type non crop land do not expect to find them as when all you had was pasture quality land no use for them. Kentuckey had way too much pasture only type ground for them to have paid to have them.

I am looking for another complete ready to go machine, I have some cattle over 15 miles from my house, I have plenty of tractors so if I get another green chopper I can leave the whole rig out there and cut some feed every day or two in the dry summer plus volunteer corn in the fall. Won't take long to pay for it with current hay prices.

I have not seen any good ones in a few years. I do know JD makes a new one. I have seen them on trucks heading north from Ottumwa,Iowa.
