I"m in need of a rebuilt motor for a jd 2010 crawler (mine is cracked) can anyone suggest a good source ? thank you fred

Some late 1950's and early 1960's JD combines had the sleeve deck engines.
You could consider what the real total overall cost of restoring 1010 or 2010, the early diesels in particular. And take that money and make a sizable downpayment on a a better machine that is 25-30 years newer.
There has to be somebody like Phoenix Castings or somebody who can built a bellhousing adapter plate. Then bolt in something reliable.2-53 N series Detroit Diesel if you have a sense of humour.
The 1010 & 2010 were JD's copy of a Farmall. The 2010 crawlers were superior to the wheel tractors.
