JD 2020 shuts down

I have a JD 2020 that runs great for 30-40 minutes. It then shuts down. It is a gas burner and I have replaced the coil, fuel filter and air filter. I have checked the water temp and it is oK. The engine temp light has not come on. New oil and fuel pump checked ok. If you idle engine down it idles perfect. Put under strain and as soon as the govener kicks in the engine dies. Anybody found answer for this problem?

SOMETHING is restricting your fuel flow, from a clogged tank vent to a piece of debris or a dead bug in the fuel line or one of the fittings or the shut-off valve.

With the engine "off" and COLD (BE CAREFULL OF FIRE FROM ANY SPLASHED GAS), with the gas tank cap removed, you can give a shot of compressed air backwards through the full line, which will (at least temporarily) blow back anything that may be in there.

Just to absolutely rule out something with the spark (have you replaced the condensor?) connect a spark tester (neon light) to a spark plug wire, and watch to verify the spark remains steady as the engine is stalling out.
