JD 2350 steering pump issue

The pressure line to the steering valve connects to a tee in the supply line from the front pump to the priority valve. It is a factory tee made into the line. The return will be a single fitting somewhere on the transmission housing. (If still in doubt, remove and cap both of them)

As Jim stated, the steering valve (based on your description of events) has a problem. If it's a (relatively) new valve you may get a replacement at no charge, but DON'T attempt to repair it. There will be NO warranty on it if it's been opened up.

Tee (item 12) on RH side of your tractor will be the source for hyd pressure to steering valve.

So, I tried to perform the test and cannot find a cap that does not leak. The fitting on the hoses to the steering has an O-ring that fits inside that apparently seals it. Does anyone know where i can find a cap that will seal?
