Ehh?...I own a 261 grooming mower. A battered relic of some municipal park/golf course mowing program that I bought at the local Deere dealership.

I stuck blades and a deck belt on mine and have mowed with it for several years. Pull it with a 5020 Allis. Makes a great little tractor 'brush-hog'...and mows good enough I can do the front-lawn if needed.

Yours looks to be better shape than mine. My deck is worn paper thin and is missing the deck belt/drive pulley covers.

There are some differences between early and late serial range 261 grooming mowers....blades..spindles..and gear box differ for sure.

I really cannot think of much to gripe about on the JD 261 grooming deck...
