JD 30 combine

My combine had a bearing that is smoking. Its the one on the roller and its located on the side in between the grain bin. Its getting close to harvesting season and what do you guys think. Give it to the repair shop to get it fixed? Or try to do it myself? Seems to be a tuff job. Looks like you have to take the grain bin off and another pully then the pully on the shaft just to get to the bad bearing. Its a sealed bearing so grease dosn't help.

Its not too bad of a job. I think your talkin about the bearing in the variable speed. It all comes apart fairly easy if you got a torch for heat and a good gear puller.
