JD 30 Loader -- Question(s)

Have a JD 30 loader that came on a 420U we purchased a couple of years ago. I am told (by someone who knows WAY more about old equipment than I do) that it is in original or near original condition, except that it's been painted; it has not been "gerry rigged" or obviously modified. My questions are:

What model JD tractors would this loader normally have been used with? We took it off the 420 because it was too heavy and wearing out the tractor's front end.

And, can anyone give me an idea what that loader might be worth (sorry I don't have pics right now, but, if you can, just go by the description I gave).

Thanks! I don't get on here very often, but always appreciate the good info you all have!

According to the parts book it fits on a JD M and a JD 40. Also Ford 8N and fergusion TO20 and TE20. I don't know why it would'nt also fit on a JD 320, JD 330, JD 420, JD 430.

That loader will probably fit on the models mentioned in a previous post, but most likely the mounting brackets will be different. I had one that came off of a 420 and the brackets wouldn't fit my 40.

We had a model # 30 on our John Deere 40 forever, bought with it new, so on farm sale about 9 years ago. Sold with stands and lift, I think it brought $350. Was most likely way too much loader for the tractor but we used the heck out ot it for many years. We had fluid in the tires, weights and big X bar chains.
